APPLICATIONS:

Carbon steel all thread rod is a common / economical fully threaded rod designed for use in a variety of industrial and construction applications.

  • ASTM A307 ALL THREAD ROD
    GOVERNING STANDARDS:
    ASTM A307
    Covers the mechanical and material requirements for inch series fasteners in diameters from 1/4″ through 4″, made of carbon steel having a minimum tensile strength of 60,000 psi.
    ASME B18.31.3 Covers the complete general and dimensional data for inch series threaded rod.
    ASME B1.1 UNC & UNF Class 1A Specifies the thread form, series, class, allowance, tolerance, and designation for unified screw threads.

     

    APPLICATIONS:

    Common / economical threaded rod used for general applications.

    • COMMON COATINGS

      ZINC PLATED:

      The plating process provides sacrificial corrosion protection for steels and lubricity for threaded applications. It is typically requested by aerospace,military, nuclear, and oil and gas industries. The advantages of electroplating include corrosion resistance, good formability, aesthetics, and consistent reliable performance.

      HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED:

      The threaded rod is dipped in a bath of molten zinc. Once coated, the relatively thick coating of zinc acts as a barrier between the atmosphere and the steel beneath.

    Required hardness applies to measurements taken anywhere on the surface or through the cross section. Core hardness listed is Maximum acceptable unless a range is specified.

    Also bolts with drilled or undersized heads. These sizes and bolts with modified heads shall meet the minimum and maximum hardness as hardness is the only requirement.

    ASTM F1554
    Covers the mechanical and material properties of steel anchor bolts having a yield strength of 36, 55, and 105 ksi.
    ASME B18.31.3 Covers the complete general and dimensional data for inch series threaded rod.
    ASME B1.1 UNC & UNF Class 1A Specifies the thread form, series, class, allowance, tolerance, and designation for unified screw threads.

     

    APPLICATIONS:

    Threaded rod designed for use as anchor rods or anchor bolts in concrete foundations.
