LONG TANGENT U-BOLTS
A Long Tangent U-Bolt is a U shaped bolt with threaded legs protruding from a curved base. The length of a Long Tangent U-Bolt is longer than that of a Standard U-Bolt. U-Bolts are used to attach pipe to varying types of structures. U-Bolts are specified by Thread Diameter and Pipe Diameter (i.e. 3/8″ X 2″). Long Tangent U-Bolts are used for mounting pipe to structural material, and can be tightened down snug against the pipe’s outer diameter, or a gap in between the pipe and the u-bolt can be left if specified. For Long Tangent U-Bolts with a rubberized coating, see Coated Long Tangent U-Bolts.
